DESCRIPTION:The Onondaga County American Legion Four Chaplains Ceremony will be held during the regular February meeting at Eastwood Post 1276 located at 3701 James Street in Syracuse\, NY. \nThe Four Chaplains (also called the Immortal Chaplains or Dorchester Chaplains) were four World War II Army lieutenants who gave their lives to save others when the troop transport ship USAT Dorchester was torpedoed and sank on February 3\, 1943. \nThe ceremony acknowledges their self sacrifice and devotion to Country and God. \n  \n  \n
