NYS GAMING AND ABC LAW WORKSHOPS

Both of our NYS Gaming and ABC Law Workshops conducted on Saturday 02/28/26 and 04/25/2026 were a success. We want to thank the Deputy Director of Charitable Gaming for the NYS Gaming Commission, Tuesday Lohmeyer, and NYS Liquor Authority Senior Investigator Robert Aicher for taking the time from their busy schedules to come to Syracuse and speak with us. Their presentations were spot-on for what the Legion needed. They were very professional and very nice people.

We were also fortunate to have been joined by invited VFW and DAV Units. It was interesting to listen to similar and not-so-similar issues affecting all of us.

We want to thank Eastwood Post 1276 and Commander Dawn Armstrong for making their Post available, as well as Auxiliary 1468 member Kelly Galvin and Squadron 41 Commander Joe Lathrop for preparing an excellent lunch.

Eastwood Post 1276 is located at 3701 James Street, Syracuse, NY. Once again, the event was free, as well as parking and lunch—all complimentary of the Syracuse and Onondaga County American Legion.
