Accessing the VA’s MyHealtheVet

Syracuse, NY – Onondaga County Service Officer Glen Wheelock along with VA representative Maggie Larkin have provided information to people to assist in accessing the VA systems MyHealtheVet.  This information can be accessed via the Assistance page on this website.

My HealtheVet is a secure, online patient portal for veterans, active duty service members, their dependents, and caregivers.  It provides access to health information and tools to help users manage their health and make informed decisions about their care: 

  • Personal health record: Users can add information about allergies, medications, medical events, and more.  They can also record and track personal information like contact information, health insurance, and health care providers. 
  • Health measurements: Users can record and track health measurements like blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, and more. 
  • Pharmacy: Users can refill prescriptions, track delivery, and view a list of medications. 
  • Appointments: Users can keep track of upcoming appointments and get email reminders. 
  • Messages: Users can communicate with VA health care teams and other staff about non-emergency information. 
  • Health records: Users can view, print, or download medical records.
