Good Afternoon,

As Memorial Day approaches, I’m honored to invite you to a ceremony at Syracuse City Hall on Wednesday, May 22 at 11:30 a.m. for two announcements honoring veterans in our community.

First, in association with the New York Military Order of the Purple Heart, I will declare Syracuse to a be Purple Heart City. Second, we will kick off the Syracuse Hometown Heroes banner program in the City of Syracuse, a program that allows families to sponsor banners along designated city streets, honoring active-duty individuals or veterans, living or deceased. We will share more about both programs at the City Hall announcement.

Please rsvp by replying to this email. If you have any questions or need more information, please contact my colleague, Greg Loh, chief policy officer, at gloh@syr.gov or 315-415-6766. Thank you and I hope to see you on May 22nd.

Sincerely,

Ben Walsh
